"SCHOLARSHIP. SISTERHOOD. SERVICE."
President GreetingIt brings me immense joy to welcome you to the website of the Beautiful Beta Phi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. 115 years ago our 20 illustrious founders set out to build something greater than themselves. They created the foundation for this outstanding sorority based on the principles of sisterhood, scholarship, and service on January 15, 1908. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. I, Eliana Waire am honored to be presenting our chapter's history, accomplishments, sisterly relationships, service, and much more!
The Beta Phi chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was chartered on the campus of Ball State University on November 9, 1968. Since then, the Beta Phi Chapter has been exceptionally great, noteworthy, and committed to doing what we do best, providing leadership, scholarship, and service to the campus of Ball State University and the Muncie community. Recently Beta Phi has hosted several events that have aided our Muncie community and campus, such as: Stand Up an event hosted alongside the University police department where we were able to discuss police brutality and campus safety, Kanned a food drive hosted on campus to raise donations and educate the campus community on food insecurity within the Muncie community, Back to School Bash, where students donated school supplies, a shoe drive where students learned about the importance of recycling and saving the Earth. We also hosted the Mr. Beta Phi Scholarship Pageant, where we highlighted the talents of male students, and the AKAdemy Awards, in which the proceeds from this event were donated to a local charity. The Beta Phi chapter throughout recent years also received several awards such as: Ball State University's National Pan-Hallenic Council "Most Improved Chapter", "Highest National Pan-Hallenic Counil Grade Point Average", Award of Excellence, Ball State University's Office of Greek Life award for "Most Greek Unity", and “2021 Chapter of the year”. I want to lead Beta Phi in hopes to obtain chapter of the year once again. This award has held a special place in Beta Phi's legacy, and my goal is to bring that tradition back to us. I will be here as your leader and a support system to ensure you reach your greatest potential. I am passionate and dedicated to making Beta Phi the best chapter and its members the best they can be. Participate with us as we continue "Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service." Warm Regards, Eliana Waire, President of the Beta Phi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated |
